Please check my website for information on classroom procedures, updates and helpful tips on how to help your child reach his or her academic potential.
Since our lunch is late, we do allow the students to have a small, healthy snack.  The students are also allowed to have water bottles at their desks.  Juice, milk, sports drinks, and iced tea are not permitted in the classroom.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Below are some useful tips to help your child succeed in fourth grade:
  • Check your child's homework planner nightly. You may also find the nightly homework posted on my homework page. If your child is not writing down the homework, please remind him/her to do so. Time is given in class to write it down.
  • Help your child memorize the timetables. This is so important. You can quiz your child while riding in the car or take 10 minutes and use some flash cards.
  • Read with your child nightly. It is very important to do this. You may want to take turns reading chapters in a book or read some magazines. Your child should also read on his/her own as well.
  • Talk with your child. Ask specific questions about school such as, "What was your favorite part of the day?" or "What was the most interesting thing you learned?"
  • Look at the papers in your child's folder that is sent home on Fridays with your child. Talk to him/her about the papers. Then sign the folder and return it to the book bag.
  • Check your child's book bag nightly. Many important papers can get lost if it isn't done every night.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
