Wow! I cant believe it is May already! Where does the time go? The NJASK for 5th and 6th graders will begin on Monday April 30th and conclude on Thursday May 3rd. Our fifth graders have worked very hard on their DARE essays and will graduate Thursday May 10th. Please be sure to sign the permission slips that went home. Also, I still have a few students who have not returned their spring pictures, so please be sure to send them back ASAP! Progress reports go home on Friday May 11th. The Spring Concert is on Thursday May 17th and the 5th and 6th grade Social is on Friday May 18th. School will be closed on Friday May 25th and Monday May 28th for Memorial Day!
It will be beneficial for students', parents', and teachers' if the children are organized. Please write ALL of your homework assignments in your planners. Check your planners at the end of each day to see what books you will need to bring home. Keep all papers in your binder until the end of each unit. Following these simple rules will really help you to stay organized. I also suggest reviewing each day's lesson at home. Sometimes children find it difficult to stay focused in class.
