Degrees and Certifications:
This is my second year teaching ESL at Woodrow Wilson School. Throughout my academic career at The College of New Jersey, I received an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Secondary Education, as well as a Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language. I spent two semesters abroad living in Madrid and Valencia, Spain, where I studied at both La Universidad Complutense Madrid, and La Universitat de València. After graduating, I volunteered to teach English at a bilingual preschool in Lima, Peru. These experiences, including my own acquisition of Spanish, have allowed me to learn and implement best practices of Second Language Acquisition.
In addition to teaching ESL, I am also a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run, which is a program designed to encourage and inspire girls to reach their limitless potential. I am currently training to run the Arizona Marathon to raise money and awareness for Girls on the Run at Woodrow Wilson School.
