• The CDC recommends delaying travel if you are unvaccinated

Domestic Travel: Traveling outside of NJ for longer than 24 hours to any US state or territory besides Pennsylvania, New York, or Delaware.

After returning home, unvaccinated individuals should get tested 3-5 days after travel. Even if they test negative, the CDC recommends unvaccinated individuals stay home and self-quarantine for 5 days after domestic travel.

Fully vaccinated individuals and those who have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 3 months do not need to get tested or self-quarantine after travel. However, the CDC recommends fully vaccinated individuals self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, and isolate and get tested if they develop symptoms.

International Travel: Travel outside of the United States for any amount of time.

After returning to the United States, all travelers, vaccinated and unvaccinated, should get tested 3-5 days after travel, self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, and isolate and get tested if they develop symptoms.

Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine if they do not have COVID-19 compatible symptoms.

Unvaccinated travelers should stay home and self-quarantine for a full 5 days.

If a test is reccomended, a PCR test is required to return to school following travel.

Neptune City School Provides Saliva PCR tests for staff and students. If you are in need of a test please contact the nurse's office to coordinate testing.
