Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to 1st grade!
My name is Miss Kravarik and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child, and working together to help your child succeed! First, I would like to provide some background information about myself. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education K-6 and an endorsement in Teachers for Students with Disabilities from Monmouth University. I completed field experiences in grades first and third, student taught in Kindergarten, and filled in as a fourth grade special education teacher prior to being hired at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. This is my third year in the first grade, and I am looking forward to another wonderful year here!
It is amazing to see how much first graders grow from the beginning of September until the end of June. They become fluent in completing mathematical problems, as well as become strong readers and writers. Additionally, as the year progresses and they learn about character education, they begin to work on bettering themselves, as well as help others to be the best they can be. It is truly incredible…just wait and see!
I believe children grow and develop the most when there is a strong connection between home and school. You know your child the best, and I welcome any input you have. If you have any questions or concerns, would like to visit the classroom, or set up a conference, please feel free to contact me at the school’s phone or email. Please frequently visit my website to stay up-to-date on important announcements and assignments, to sign-up as a mystery guest reader, as well as to find out what we are learning about in the classroom each week. I hope to see you all on Tuesday (9/12) at 6:30PM for Back-To-School-Night!
