    October 8, 2020

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

I commend our outstanding students and staff for carefully implementing all of our Restart Plan guidelines.  While we proudly deliver our educational program to both our in school students and remote students synchronously in real time at the same time, it is important we all remain vigilant with our guidelines:

    • Wear a mask at all times.
    • Distance properly between people.
    • Wash hands and sanitize hands as frequently as possible.
    • Do not send your child to school if he/she is not feeling well.
    • Feel welcome to reach out to me and our School Nurse, Ms. Dowling, with any concerns or questions.

These are all extremely important guidelines in doing everything possible to promote a healthy and safe environment.

With the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in the state, and in carefully reviewing all recommendations from the New Jersey and Monmouth County Departments of Health, please be informed of the following:

    • Effective immediately, we will not be permitting Birthday treats to be sent into the school.  With the recent spikes in COVID-19 cases in the state, I want to keep the building as tight and contained as possible, keeping outside deliveries to only essential needs.  However, we will pursue other no-contact ways to celebrate Birthdays.
    • We will not be having any Halloween celebrations in school this year.  Unfortunately, when I separately send you the New Jersey Department of Health Halloween celebration guidance for 2020, you will read that there is no way to celebrate this favorite holiday in our traditional manner maintaining our health and safety guidelines.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, please enjoy the long holiday weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our students back on October 13th.

    Chief School Administrator, Principal

The Neptune City School District continues to provide breakfast and lunch meals. During our Retart Plan daily schedule, students who are in school receive a "grab and go" lunch and breakfast for the next day just before daily dismissal at 12:40 PM five days a week. Students who are remote at home may pick up lunches and breakfasts for the week on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 AM.  Meals can be picked up at the exterior cafeteria door (white door) facing the parking lot.  For questions, please call 732-775-5319 ext 5003.
