Mr. Michael Haynes
Mr. Haynes is honored to serve as the Supervisor of Special Services for the Neptune City School District. He has been in special education for over 15 years with students of all ability levels. Mr. Haynes has worked with the I&RS teams, RTI teams, School Safety Teams, and District Mentoring Committees. He was also trained in Readers and Writers Workshop and Fountas and Pinnell Reading Assessments.
Mr. Haynes has extensive training in computer-based Individual Education Plan (IEP) systems, state special education policy, and special education program development. In his role as Supervisor his goal is to consistently foster honest communication between parents and teachers, and to ensure that student needs are always at the heart of curricular decision-making within the least restrictive environment. Mr. Haynes is excited to join this great district where every child's emotional, academic, and functional needs are its top priority.
Mr. Haynes holds a B.A. from Rowan University in History and Secondary Education, a M.A. from Georgian Court University in Special Education, and a second M.A. from Georgian Court University in Educational Leadership and Administration.
