•           MEDICATION POLICY

Medication can only be administered by the nurse upon receipt of written permission from both the child’s medical provider and the parent/guardian.  All forms are available under the "Health Office Forms" tab on your left view of the website.

    • All medications require a doctor’s order that must be renewed each September. We cannot use last year’s orders. This applies even if your child is receiving medication temporarily (i.e. an antibiotic, ointments, eye drops, etc...).
    • All medications must be in the original bottle or package with the pharmacy label attached. If there are pieces of equipment for these medications, then please submit them when providing the medications.
    • In order to ensure the safety of your child and all children at Woodrow Wilson, the child should not transport medication to school. All medication must be brought to the nurse’s office by a parent, guardian, or other designated adult. Medications must be picked up by an adult at the end of the school year. All medications not picked up will be discarded.
    • COUGH DROPS ARE A MEDICATION AND REQUIRE A NOTE. They must remain in the nurse’s office and not with your child(ren).
